French DELF/DALF examRegistration: 10th October 2023 for the exam from 1st to 8th December 2023
The General Public DELF-DALF is a Diploma of French Language Studies, VALID FOR LIFE and officially recognized throughout the world.
It is intended for adults and older adolescents, foreign or French (those originating from a non-French speaking country and not holding a French public secondary or higher-education diploma), whose mother tongue is not French, and who want their French language skills to be officially certified for personal or professional reasons, such as:
- Requesting a 10-year resident permit: minimum DELF A2 required
- Requesting French nationality: minimum DELF B1 required
- Applying to a French university or grande école, by taking the DELF B2 or DALF C1 (contact the specific school for more information)
Twice a year, the CILEC organizes sessions of General Public DELF and DALF exams, for levels A2, B1 et B2.

On the sign-up day, make sure you bring: -a credit card, to pay exam sign-up fees - an identity document(passport, residence permit...) - your DELF application number, if you’ve already taken the exam

*The applicant has the right to request a refund of the sign-up fee or a deferment to the following session in case of justified absence (a medical certificate must be provided).
